  • Instructions & Guardrails: Write explicit guidelines for the AI (e.g., "If a customer asks for a manager, tell them someone will call them back within 2 hours").

Designing the Voice and Greeting

  • Choose a Profile: Select a voice model and speed that matches your business tone.
  • Write the Opening Line: Draft the exact greeting callers will hear, such as:
    "Hi, thank you for calling [Your Business]. I am Astra, your AI assistant. How can I help you today?"

Connecting Call Forwarding (Via SIM)

To send calls from your mobile SIM card to Astra, you will use standard mobile network codes (USSD codes). Open the phone dialer app on your mobile phone and choose one of the options below:

Option A: Conditional Forwarding (Recommended)

This only sends calls to the AI if you are busy, don't answer, or are out of network. Your phone will still ring first.

  1. Open your phone's dialer screen.
  2. Type *004*[Your Astra Number]#
  3. Press the Call button. You will see a message saying "Setting registration was successful."
Note: If your network provider doesn't support the combined *004* code, dial these three individually instead:

Disconnecting Call Forwarding

If you want to stop using the AI receptionist and take calls normally on your mobile SIM again, you can cancel the forwarding at any time using your dialer.

  • To turn off Conditional Forwarding: Open your dialer, type ##004# and press Call.
    (Or dial ##67#, ##61#, and ##62# individually if you set them up separately).
  • To turn off Absolute Forwarding: Open your dialer, type ##21# and press Call.

Once dialed, your screen will display "Erasure successful," and all incoming calls will immediately route back to your mobile phone as normal.
